This blogger is talking about del.icio.us. I wouldn’t have even known what that is before this class.

This teacher takes a week off of technology every year. I think that is a good idea that we all should consider. I think I’ll start mine right after class is over.

Great site for ideas on using the Smartboard in K-3 classrooms. I like the Count Fish game!

This is a link to a Kindergarten Class and their podcast. I think that this is great! I didn’t realize that teachers with students this young were creating podcasts.

This is a reaction to Betty’s Blog about common sense. Apparently middle school students are sending inappropriate pictures of themselves to the opposite sex as a means of flirting. These pictures end up on the web for everyone to see. Betty wants to know if students can be taught to respect each other and think of the consequences before they act. I think that some of them absolutely can be taught common sense and right from wrong. Classes for respecting others and using technology appropriately would benefit some I am sure. However, I am convinced that some people just don’t have any access in their brains to common sense. The link to Betty’s blog is attached below.

Here is a fun example of storyboards and film-making being taught to young children. After they learn about storyboards, they then can create their own storyboard using a digital or disposable camera. The technology and terms that these children are being taught at such young age is amazing!
